  12. Product Overview
  13. WordPerfect is probably the world's best known text-based word processor.  As 
  14. of version 5.1, operation of WP over the LANtastic Network Operating System is 
  15. directly supported.  WP 5.1 also includes an optional pull-down menu interface 
  16. and mouse support as an alternative to its traditional function key interface.  
  17. Note that this bulletin applies only to WordPerfect 5.1 and not WordPerfect for 
  18. Windows.

  21. Test Equipment Configuration
  22. The following machines were used for WordPerfect testing.  All machines use 
  23. Artisoft AE-2 NICs.  Testing was completed using LANtastic NOS v4.0 with 
  24. AILANBIO.EXE and AE2.EXE v2.03.  Machines running as LANtastic peer 
  25. servers are designated by (S).

  32. Product Installation Notes
  33. Installation is achieved via WordPerfect's INSTALL routine, invoked from the 
  34. Install/Learn/Utilities 1 diskette.  During the installation, the program will present 
  35. a list of possible networks.  At this screen, one of the choices displayed is:

  39. Choose this option and WP will install correctly for use with the NOS.

  42. Compatibility Notes
  43. One minor incompatibility exists between WP 5.1 and the SEND function of 
  44. LANtastic's LANPUP pop-up utility, all other functions of LANPUP work normally.  
  45. If the SEND function is required, contact the Artisoft Technical Support 
  46. department for a work-around.
